The Ska-Toons
are an eight-piece live Ska band based in the Whitley Bay and North Shields area, 6 miles east of Newcastle Upon Tyne, North East England.
The Ska-Toons have appeared on the same bill as Bad Manners, The Toasters, The Selector & Terry Hall
From The Specials, plus many more.
Quickly becoming one of North East's most sought after live bands. Having done over
100 shows in 2011 we are now taking bookings for 2012, with the diary filling up fast. We play
Biker and Scooter Rallies, Festivals, Pubs, Clubs, Private
Functions, Weddings, Engagements, Birthdays - we have even been known to play the odd Funeral! We will play most
venues in most areas, including further afield if worthwhile.
The band has a big, ever-expanding following and reputation - selling out most shows. Doing covers from the likes of Bad Manners,
Madness, The Maytals, UB40, Dave & Ansel Colins, The Specials,
The Toasters, The Beat, The Piranhas & Many More with songs we
have Ska'd up ourselves with a bit of a twist.
All
musicians in the band are highly professional, playing to the highest standards. Some of the best you'll hear on the ska scene. Members of the band come from diverse musical backgrounds, the pedigree of which meaning some have been involved with well known acts, such as Bad Manners , The Toasters , Penetration to mention but a few . While several of the band were long time and original members of the now legendary Gangsters Of Ska.
